This is a site all about the 2 Final Fantasys on the playstation. First there is Final Fantasy VII which is a RPG (Role Playing Game) for the Playstation. It has sold well over 10 million copies worldwide. The game starts in the city of Midgar which is built on a huge metal plate and controlled by Shinra Inc. Midgar is poweered by 8 massive Mako Reactors which suck the Mako from inside the planet and convert it into Electricity. The story follows a small boy called Cloud Stife from Nebelheim. He is a mercenary who was once a member of Shinra's elite armed force SOLDIER. At the start your hired by a small rebel group called AVALANCHE. There leader Barrett Wallace has decided to blow the 8 reactors up. From this you are caught up in an 3 disc epic Adventure which contains monsters called summons, which are monsters who help you fight boss and monsters in Battle. There is also something called Materia which you collect and which lets you cast magic spells like Cure and Fire. There are 8 other playable charachters who are Yuffie Gainsborough (A Flower Merchant), Tifa Lockheart (A Bar Hostess), Barrett Wallace (Avalanche Leader), Red XIII (A Beast), Cid Highwind (A Pilot), Yuffie Kisragi (A Materia Hunter, Ninja), Cait Sith (A Toysaurus), Vincent Valentine (Unemployed). It has 120 minutes of Cinematic Sequences, which blend into the game superbly. And it is said it takes the average person 120 hours to complete the game, but I did it in 80. Plus now it is on Sonys Platium range for �20, so GO OUT AND BUY it now. Because I give this game 10 out of 10. ITS GREAT!!!!!!!! Release Dates = Out Everywhere | |||||||||||||||||||

Then there is Final Fantasy VIII which is even bigger than Final Fantasy VII because it has is 4 disc and even better graphics and stuff. It all begins when Seifer and Squall are fighting in a CG cinema segment. Then it goes into the Balamb Garden Infarmary where you first take control of Squall. He is an elite military team called SeeD. Where you do your first mission. From this as in FF7 you get caught up in an epic story of Love, hate, war and peace which is set in a whole new world from FF7. The game, which includes a new juntion system instead of the old Materia but still as many charachters as before: Squall Lionheart, Laguna Loire (The president of Esthar), Seifer Almasy (Squall's Rival), Rinoa Heartilly (A beautiful young lady), Quistis Trepe (A member of SeeD), Selphie Tilmitt (A spunky member of SeeD), Zell Dincht (Another member of SeeD), Irvine Kinneas (An expert Gunman). Then there are the GF's which include some of the old summons from FF7 like Ifrit and Shiva. Then there are some new ones like Quezacotl, Siren and Brothers. There is also a mini-game of Cards called Triple-Triad which you can take anyone on at. So basicially this sequel is better than the first one so for �30 go and buy it, I give it 10/10 and I recommend it because its brill!!! GO BUY IT!!!!!!!! | Final Fantasy IX |
Final Fantasy IX is the new Final Fantasy and it comes out this Winter. This is the last Final Fantasy Game Squaresoft are producing for the ageing Playstation. It will be 4 Disc's again and will cost around �39.99 when it appears on the shelfs. It has already been released in Japan and it has sold over 2 million copies in around 2 months (you know what the Japs are like). About 1.35million of that amount of Final Fantasy IX bought in Japan were pre-ordered copies of it, which is a drop of 0.32million from the amount of pre-ordered copies of Final Fantsy VIII. Squaresoft believe this is because of the lack of TV advertising over there. The main character is called Zidane (a wizard) the other playable characters a know about are Vivi (a mage), Garnet Tale Alexandros the 17th (a Princess), Slamander Coral (a Warrior), Freija Cresent (a Royal Gaurd), Quina Quen (a chef), Eiko Carol (a kid) and Adelbert Steiner (a royal knight) and thats it. A also know nothing about the storyline (you'll just have to wait). But I do know that Triple Triad from Final Fantasy VIII will make its return on Final Fantasy IX, this is because of the games huge popularity. I think that the rules will be the same apart from the cards and pictures, also the maybe one new rule (but more later on that one). There will be moogles from the early Final Fantasy's it will also look a lot more like Final Fantasy VII not Final Fantasy VIII, this is because the Final Fantasy VII artist has rejoined the squaresoft team. That's about all I know!!!
